The company opened in 1996 as Revolution Dancewear, a wholesale manufacturer selling well below retail exclusively to dance schools in the United States and Canada. We expanded our reach by entering the European dance market with our direct to consumer Dance Direct brand. Today, through strong organic growth and smart acquisitions, the Company owns and operates five dance apparel and service brands under the name REV UP BRANDS. We have offices in the U.S., England, and France.

The Requirements

To be a strong fit for the role of Financial Analyst, you will have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Accounting, Finance, Math, Information Technology, Statistics, etc., or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with MS Office Suite applications, including advanced proficiency in Excel and strong PowerPoint ability; experience using an ERP system(s) to extrapolate and manipulate data
  • Experience with budget analysis and preparation for board presentations

  • Experience in the apparel industry is an advantage
  • International experience is a plus
  • Bilingual English/French is a plus

The Role

Reporting to the Global Financial Controller and working closely with Controllers located in the U.K. and France, as Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven analyses to inform decision making and provide insight into Company growth and/or cost containment opportunities. You will be tasked with translating strategic and operational inquiries into accessible communication supported by quantifiable data.

On a daily basis, you will interact with cross-functional stakeholders throughout our organization, both domestically and internationally, including Financial and Logistical Teams, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership. You will also support inquiries and help prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and our equity sponsors.

This is a multifaceted role with an even split between domestic and international responsibilities. You’ll provide robust B2C analysis for the U.K. and France, and focus more on B2B in the U.S. Channels include ecommerce, catalog, and direct phone sales, both wholesale and retail, While you’ll be responsible for daily reports, mostly around sales, you will have the advantage of planning the majority of your day around your priorities. You should, however, remain flexible enough to adjust to changing priorities as needed. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Tracking key performance metrics, including sales and profitability by product line and marketing channel
  • Developing tools to synthesize data from the Company’s ERP system into usable information
  • Assisting other disciplines within the company to identify and measure key success factors
  • Analyzing supply chain and inventory options
  • Providing feedback to other team members and Company leaders on anything which can help improve the business
  • Performing ad hoc analyses and creating reports
  • Developing the annual budget and financial models, including product analysis and international cash forecasting for US Dollar, UK Sterling and EU bank accounts
  • Assembling the quarterly Board presentation
